- Water: Water remains the best thing for your body and especially your smile. Water will help rinse away any bacteria or food that may be hiding out inside your mouth. Most counties in the United States have added fluoride to the water supply for your tap water, and fluoride has plenty of benefits for your smile. You can check with your local water company to see if your tap water has had fluoride added.
