Honoring a Lifetime of Dentistry
After more than 40 years of practicing side by side, Dr. Woody and Dr. Joe will officially retire at the end of April, 2026.
Their journey began at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where they met as classmates and formed a partnership that would span decades. In October 1981, they opened Wooddell and Passaro Dental Group with a shared commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and patient-centered care.
Over the years, they built more than a practice. They built lasting relationships with generations of families in the community, earning a reputation for trust, compassion, and exceptional dentistry.
A Lasting Impact on Patients and the Profession
Throughout their careers, Dr. Woody and Dr. Joe have helped thousands of patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. Their influence extends beyond the operatory.
As founders and operators of the Chesapeake Dental Education Center, they played a meaningful role in advancing continuing education for dental professionals, supporting growth and learning within the field.
Their contributions to both their patients and their profession leave a legacy that will be felt for years to come.

While we celebrate their retirement, we are also excited for the future of the practice under the leadership of Dr. Marc.
Now known as Davidsonville Dental Group, the practice continues its longstanding tradition of excellence while embracing the next generation of care. Dr. Marc is committed to carrying forward the same values that have defined the practice since 1981, while continuing to grow and serve our community with the highest standard of dentistry.
